GuTar® is a unique musical instrument invented and developed by the Ukrainian
master Michael Walk. It combines the Indian Sitar (the lower row of strings
with a special stand - "jivari", which gives the same buzzling Sitar sound) and
the upper row of strings - the Slavic Gusli. The bottom row of strings resonate
from the top strings, creating incredible sitar sustain and ambience. The lower
strings don't need to be played - they are tuned with guitar pegs on the side,
and then resonate from the upper strings, on which you can play chords, accords
and melody. This instrument is ideal for sound therapy, meditation, for sound
sessions as an addition to Tibetan bowls and gongs.
